Friday's Favorite // Football vs. Baseball

Wahoo another Friday for the books! I feel like this has been one of those shorts but long, long but short weeks. Ya feelin' me? I look back and oh my gosh Monday was forever ago, but lookie now, it's Friday!

{1} Ethan and I got tickets to a Blue Wahoos game for Wednesday night. The weather was gorgeous and once the sun was setting the temperature was almost cool. I'm not sure if the Wahoos won because we left at the 7th inning stretch so Ethan could get home and watch some of the Crossfit Games. Fine by me, baseball's not really "my thing." How many days till football season?!

{Guy behind us: "I think I just got in on a selfie."}

{2} Found this e-card that perfectly describes life in the South.

{3} Had dinner at LaHa with a lovely bunch of ladies from my church. Of course I ate my weight in chips and salsa. #cruisebody #justkidding

{4} Sunday night I accidentally knocked my straightener off the counter. When it hit the tile, I knew it was dead. I've been needing to get a new one, but really didn't feel like spending the money until I ab-so-lutely had to. Well, "broken" falls into that category. Momma got herself a new straightener and my hair's so sleek and shiny now! I forgot what it was like to have a perfectly good, working flat iron!

{5} I actually got a couple of good workouts in this past week. I think I've finally found my motivation to get back in shape now that my "deadlines" are looming. We are T-minus 30 days from my 1st "deadline" and I'd like to 145 by then.  That's exactly one month to lose 7 lbs. Doable, so doable.

So, baseball or football? Which one do you enjoy more?

I'm linking up with all my Friday ladies ~ Ash @ The Grits Blog, Lauren for #H54F, Sincerely, Paula's No Rules Blog Party, That Friday Blog Hop with Rebecca, Amanda's Friday Favorites, Jennie's Friday Favorites, and Oh Hey Friday with September F A R M. 1. You must like the NFL.. I've never been able to get into watching it. I think it's because I don't have a team! I love me some Florida State football though! I watch ever game!

  4. First off new FOLLOWER here! Second, I love going to our local minor (minor, minor, minor) league ballpark. However, if ours had that kind of view (instead of the freeway) I would be all over it! Chips n salsa oh yeah! Happy weekending!

  13. This is a hard one we enjoy both, but weather does play a factor. We can enjoy a baseball game a lot more than a football game in the dead of winter. If it's not actually attending the game and just watching at our leisure, than football wins!

    1. I don't think I'd watch a football game in the dead of winter either! Thank goodness for Florida "winter" lol

  14. Def. college football over college baseball... but when it comes to professional teams, I'll take baseball!

  18. I'm not a big sports gal so I don't really do baseball or football. If I had to choose I guess I'd choose baseball just because I do understand it. When I watch football I'm totally lost!!!

That straightener is awesome- we should all own a cool yellow straightener!!

    1. Have to agree with you there! It took me a long time to understand exactly what was going on in football! And I'm still lost alot of times! haha!

Thanks, I think Ulta still has them on sale!

  19. Stopping by from the link up! I love my Chi, and it's lasted me sooooo long. I've debated about trying a ghd once mine finally dies, but I may just go with what I know I like. Plus, I love your yellow one!

I like baseball quite a bit, but I love going to football games, so I guess it's a little of both!

    1. Never heard of ghd.. had to google it! I love Chi, I think they are totally worth the price! If you do go with the other one, lemme know how it is!

You can totally have the best of both worlds! Especially since their seasons are different parts of the year! Win-win!

  20. Love the ecard! I can totally relate...we are huge Clemson football fans at my house :) I've had my Chi for 6 or 7 years now and dropped it this weekend. Praying it turns back on but I'm afraid to try it!
