Charlotte's Nursery // Version 1.0

I'm to the point where I feel like maybe, just maybe if I share her full nursery reveal, she'll make her grand appearance. Or maybe I'm just being superstitious and overly hopeful. Ha! I affectionately call this nursery "Version 1.0" because it's her temporary nursery until we move into our forever home later this year. I wasn't able to put up a lot on the walls because our condo has metal support beams that we can't drill in to. Thank God for Command Hooks. Seriously, those things are awesome!

I never really wanted a theme for her nursery, but more of a color palette that she can easily grow up with. Nothing too childish, but not to grown up either, and definitely not screaming pink. I've always been obsessed with nurseries and the idea of decorating my own was the one thing I couldn't wait to get started on!

Like I said earlier, the blank walls will be filled in once we move. I can't tell you how many times I've pouted to Ethan about not being able to fill in every nook and cranny! Another thing that will be amazing about her nursery 2.0 is the giant window she has. This room is so dark that it was really hard to photograph! Boo!

I really wanted to do a coral, mint, and gold theme originally, but after having two people drop out on making my bedding, my paranoid self decided to not go the custom route and ordered from BabyBedding.com. I couldn't have been happier with my decision, even if it made my "nursery vision" shift drastically. It was like a weight had been lifted and it was one less thing to worry about! I'd highly recommend ordering from them. They offer sales multiple times per year, along with coupon codes and free shipping.

Her glider and nightstand are my favorite little corner. Version 2.0 will have book shelves incorporated into it, but for right now, even as it is, it's my favorite. I can't count the times I've rocked in that glider and can't wait for the day when she's in my arms and we're rocking together.

Her bookcase was definitely a labor of love. Poor Ethan, he's got his super pregnant wife begging him to take the backing off the perfectly good bookcase and paint it glittery gold! I love how it turned out and I also love that the shoes he wore while spray painting it now have little gold flecks on them. I told him to get used to being covered in glitter. He's a girl dad now!

At first, Ethan wasn't so sure about a blue dresser for a girl's room, but I promised him it'd look good once the colorful bedding and other d├ęcor was involved! I love how the blue turned out and I love the little crystal drawer knobs!

And because he's so cute and I like him a lot - here's Ethan photo-bombing my nursery photo shoot! I think he likes the glider about 1,000 time more than I do! What's really fun is I get to do another nursery reveal down the road! Stay tuned for Version 2.0 coming late 2015!

  11. Room 1.0 looks pretty darn good. Can't wait to see Room 2.0! SOphie's room is tiny and kind of dark because she's in the back of the house where it gets the most shade during the day. I love her blue nightstand, it's so cute. Where did you find the dresser and nightstand?

I love the art, the crystal knobs and the tassel garland.
