Friendcation 2016 || Basseterre, St. Kitts

While Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas was the destination I looked forward to the most, St. Kitts actually ended up being my favorite day and stop! We booked an excursion for the day sailing on a catamaran with a snorkel site with a ship wreck. Literally bucket list item, bucket list item! Check! Check!

St. Kitts was super chill and way more relaxed than our experience in St. Thomas. We got off the our boat, found our tour guide for the excursion and she escorted us to the loading area. St. Kitts just recently opened their island up to cruises, so the island is still very natural and there aren't a lot of the very touristy port stores just yet.

{Waiting to get on the catamaran}

The catamaran was a really fun experience and if given the chance, I'll always be down to catamaran! Haha! The crew was amazing, so helpful and friendly and would literally bend over backwards to make sure you were comfortable and having a good time! There was also an open bar, so maybe that's why I really had a good time? I don't drink often, but the homemade rum runners and spiked Ting {local grapefruit soda} were a little hard to resist! Especially with how hot it was outside!

After a short ride over to the shipwreck site, we snorkeled for a little bit. I've always wanted to snorkel a shipwreck, so that was really cool. You couldn't actually go inside the ship, which duh. Not safe, but it was still a great trip! The water was so refreshing and so clear and we saw lots of fun, colorful fish and coral.

After snorkeling, the crew called us back on to the catamaran for a really yummy lunch! We ate and then claimed really good spots at the front of the catamaran for the ride back to our boat.

That evening we watched Royal Caribbean's Aquatheater Show. It's a very Cirque du Soleil show that had dancing, high dives, and acrobatics.  I was super impressed with the talent on the ship!

Later on that night, we hit up the hot tubs and watched the NBA finals. Of course I had to grab my SnapChat filter for the occasion!

Since we were out late, we didn't get to nighttime FaceTime with Charlotte,but I did get a couple of sleepy snaps from my mom. Since St. Kitts was our last cruise port stop, this is when I really started to miss my Bug.
